You do not need to download anything to buy a ticket to a tango event on Tanguear. On iPhone, an App Clip lets you go from a QR code or a shared link straight to a secure Apple Pay checkout — in seconds, without an account.

How it works

When an organiser shares an event — as a QR code on a poster, a link on social media, or a card at the door — opening it on an iPhone brings up a small App Clip card. Tap it and a lightweight version of Tanguear opens instantly, showing the event, the date, the venue, and the ticket price.

There is nothing to install and no registration to complete. You simply:

1. Open the event QR code or link on your iPhone
2. Review the event and the fee-inclusive total
3. Pay with Apple Pay
4. Receive your ticket by email, with a QR code for the door

What you get

After paying, you immediately receive:

• A confirmation email with your ticket
• A QR code for check-in, included right in the email
• A link to a web ticket page you can open any time — no app required

You can present the QR code at the door straight from your email or the web page.

Keeping your ticket in the app

At the end of checkout, Tanguear invites you to get the full app. Installing it unlocks everything else — discovering events near you, following friends, dance-partner requests, and your complete ticket history.

When you register with the same email you used as a guest, your guest purchase is automatically linked to your new account, so the ticket you just bought is waiting for you in My Tickets. Nothing is lost.

Good to know

• The App Clip experience is available on iPhone. On other devices, opening the event link shows a web page where you can view the event and get the app.
• Payment is handled securely by Stripe and Apple Pay — Tanguear never sees your card details.
• Only events with a price and an organiser set up to receive payments can be bought this way. Free events, or events without payment set up, show the details but no pay button.
